Training Maps for World Cup Competitors (Tasmania)

Hi Everyone,

I am happy to provide you with a link to training maps in PDF and JPG formats on the Oceania Site. These maps have been provided for World Cup participants for training purposes and are only available via this link http://oceania2015.com/world-cup-training-maps/ you will be unable to view these maps by just visiting our website, you must use the provided link to access the maps.

Maps included are;

Sprint Maps - Inveresk Launceston, Windsor Park - Launceston
Sprint distance, Qualification - Trevallyn Launceston
Middle and Long Distance - Mt Pearson and Littlechild/Livelys Bog
The Golden Fleece - Complex Tin Mining (Not really relevant for Long Distance) St Helens

Please Note - Bulletin 3 now available on the Oceania web site lists the Event Centre/Accreditation opening times incorrectly. An updated version will be available soon.

Oceania/World Cup Tasmania 2015 - News Update

News Updates
  • Bulletin 3 for World Cup races during Oceania is now available. Visit the World Cup Info page to download the new bulletin.
  • World Cup Detailed Final Entry
Detailed entry information will need to be submitted by 7 December 2014.  The information requested will include the following:
– All competitors and team officials: family name, first name, nation, sex, year of birth, IOF ranking ID, SI-Card no, passport size photo.
– IOF officials: family name, first name, address, IOF function, passport size photo.
Note, that final entries can only be accepted if an initial indication of entry has previously been submitted.
Detailed team entries will most likely be taken online using the new IOF Eventor system. A link to the final entry form will be placed on oceania2015.com under the Entry page as soon as it becomes available.
  • Oceania Events
A reminder that if you would like to enter any additional events throughout the carnival, this can be down individually through Eventor, not in conjunction with your World Cup Entry. Details of available events can be found below. Please Note that entries close for these events on November 30th.

Day Four: Tuesday January 6th 2015 – Oceania Middle Distance Championships (except for Elite classes) & Oceania Carnival Public Race (O2)

Rajah Rock, Avoca, Fingal Valley.  Approx 75 minutes south east of Launceston with first starts at 9.30 am.

Day Five: Wednesday January 7th 2015 – Australia/New Zealand Schools Test Match (Relay) & Oceania Carnival Public Race (O3)

Kelvedon, East Coast. Approx 15 minutes south of Swansea. Schools relay will commence at 9.30 am. First starts in the public race from 12.30 pm.
  • Accommodation
Any further queries about accommodation can be directed to myself at kim.nankervis@oceania2015.com. I do have some accommodation on the East Coast for the latter part of the carnival.
  • Maps
We are working on including printable versions of maps on the website. As soon as completed I will forward a link to you for access. Training maps of sprint areas in Launceston and also of Pittwater Dunes in Hobart will be available for collection from a local shop, Paddy Pallin, 110 George Street, Launceston, if required.
